Dr. Jose Almirall was recently awarded a grant from the University of Rhode Island, Dept. of Homeland Security – Center of Excellence to develop improved methods to detect hidden home-made explosives. This effort is a collaboration with other top researchers in the field of explosives detection in the U.S.
