Lerna Ekmekcioglu is a historian of the modern Middle East and an affiliate of the Women and Gender Studies Program. On Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, she joined the CWGS and SIPA to deliver a talk about Armenians in post-genocide Turkey. Many faculty, staff, and students came out for this interdisciplinary event so that they could understand how gender and class affects coexistence and conflict in modern Turkey.
