Congratulations to Dr. Yesim Darici, who was recently appointed Assistant Provost of STEM.
Dr. Darici has performed many important leadership, teaching, and service roles throughout her thirty-year career at FIU. In the last couple of years in her current role as Director of the Center for Women and Gender Studies, she established three new initiatives: Women in STEM, Gender Based Violence Prevention, and FIU’s 100 Women.
Dr. Darici is an educator, scientist, activist and a trailblazer whose achievements have been recognized and awarded globally, nationally, and locally here at FIU. We are honored to have her as part of our Panther family.
