The 70th Annual American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS) 2018 meeting, held in Seattle was well attended.
From the tiniest breaks of bone, to the computational analysis of DNA, and the ethics of skipping an autopsy for a United States Supreme Court justice, scientists from the widest array of disciplines presented and learned from one another.
Researchers at FIU and new partners NFSTC were well represented through multiple research presentations and posters. Richard Gilliland and his professor, Dr. Anthony DiCaprio, were awarded best poster presentation in the Toxicology section.
