Miami Dade College’s Museum of Art and Design presents “To Write Miami,” a series of readings by Miami authors that explores the city’s fascinating relationship with literature. The names of many of the participating writers may sound familiar. Several featured are Department of English faculty or alumni including:

- P. Scott Cunningham
- John Dufresne
- Patricia Engel
- Fabienne Josaphat
- Pedro Medina León
- Les Standiford
Alumna and author of The Veins of the Ocean, Patricia Engel, kicks off the series on April 24. Events will take place the last Wednesday of every month through October, with an additional activity on May 15.
The readings, free and open to the public, will be held at Soya e Pomodoro restaurant in Downtown Miami.
