As the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) deputy director, she focused on the role of state leadership in supporting districts and schools to increase high-speed connectivity and access for students and educators.
Fox collaborates with the executive director in charting strategic direction, administration, planning and financial decisions involving SETDA. She received her master’s of science in teaching English as a second language from FIU, which helped her gain experience in education and consulting.
The key for state leadership, Fox told EdScoop, is to ensure that broadband is accessible to all. States are starting to recognize the need for all students to have equal access to broadband and can work together towards bridging the digital divide.
