What goes together better than peanuts and cracker jacks? FIU CASE and our local South Florida community of course! We’re excited to announce we’ve partnered with our local Major League Baseball team, the Miami Marlins.
This season, we’re bringing cutting-edge research to the ballpark in a series of unique family engagement activations.
On Sunday, July 28th join us for the first ‘Sunday Funday’ to see how Billy the Marlin’s friends survive unique saltwater environments around the world through two exciting activities:
- Marine Animal Encounter:Get hands-on with hermit crabs, horse conchs and even sea stars in this interactive lab. Discover along the way how these often unseen creatures play specific roles in balancing our local marine ecosystems. Animals may change based on availability.
- Virtual Oceans: With our state-of-the-art virtual reality (VR) headsets, step into the fins of FIU’s most adventurous scientists. Explore active research from around the world.
End your July with a home run and visit our pavilion alongside other pre-game activities for kids of all ages on the West Plaza.
