The Florida American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) recently held its annual conference. This year’s theme, “Common Ground,” focused on the intersection between landscape architecture and other relevant topics, including environmental conscientiousness.
Panelists and speakers for the conference included Dr. Tiffany Troxler, director of science for the Sea Level Solutions Center. She sat on the panel, “Unveiling Climate Change at Ground Zero,” where she discussed the implications of sea level rise. Joining her were environmental consultant Paola Ferreira; CLEO Institute’s executive director, Yoca Arditi-Rocha; and ASLA’s director of resilience design, Mariana Boldu.
Hundreds of landscape architects attended the conference, allowing a large audience to gain a deeper understanding of how landscape architecture and environmental initiatives could work in tandem.
